Lexus uses Carl Thomas for Auto Show Promo

 

At the Chicago Auto Show there are hundreds of cars, most of my time there was spent with Lexus. DSC_0392 Carl Thomas performed for Lexus, new campaign for their “Lexus Verses and Flow.  Lexus found a way to separate themselves from every other car distributor at the Chicago Auto Show.  Metaphorically speaking, the Auto Show is just like the Internet, you have stiff competition and if your customers don’t like what they see they can instantly go to the next company.  Every car company had their own space and they were free to do what they wanted, but Lexus (and JEEP) were very creative at how they do their promotion for the Auto Show.

Carl Thomas took the opportunity from Lexus to promote his new tour he going on with: Faith Evans, 112 ,The LOX, P.Diddy, and Eightball and MJG.  I don’t know how much Carl Thomas got paid from Lexus to perform, but it was worth it because more than 1 million people go to the Chicago Auto Show and that was massive exposure. Carl Thomas already had his product in place to take advantage of the situation.  His product was his new CD and his world tour he’s going on.  And I’m very excited for the tour I forgot how much I like his music.

In my lifetime I built hundreds of websites.  All the successful websites, had one thing in common, they all have some type of advertisement or promotion.  The last thing on a lot of people’s mind when getting a website design for them, but it should be the most important.  Alot of people care about the look of a website, but not the promotion of it.   Which would you rather have an ugly, plain looking website like Facebook or YouTube but, had millions of users everyday or website it was very stylish but only had 25 users per day?  Obviously everybody would say they want the Facebook traffic, but they’re not willing to put in the time, effort or the money the Facebook puts in for promotion.  If you don’t have the budget to promote it as heavily as you would like to you have to find creative ways like Lexus did to stand out from the group.
