Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice Review

Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice Review

The wait is over Batman vs. Superman, is here.  After I saw the first trailer for it I was so excited.  Then, I saw the second trailer and I was a little bit worried.  The CGI on doomsday was terrible.  I know I’m supposed to wait to the end but I will say this movie wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.  In the fact, it was pretty good.  I give it a 4.5 out of 5 or 9 out of 10.  Not the best superhero movie I’ve ever seen, but it is in the top five.   I’ll even put this in my top 50 best movies of all time list.  (which is a big deal for me because I’ve seen thousands of movies)

So to be spoiler-free if I had to rate this I would say it’s not as good as trailer one but a lot better than trailer 2.  To be completely transparent I did see this movie in 3D.  Which I’m sure made the fight scenes more Epic.  Ben Affleck was a great Batman the internet was wrong about him. I hope they make another Batman with Ben Affleck.  Lex Luthor was a little goofy he could have been a little bit more serious and cynical.

The movie was pretty long our show started at 7:30 and we don’t get out till 10:30.  There were definitely parts that didn’t need to be in the movie, and if was cut I feel like it would have been a 5-star movie.  I will say, I respect the writing in this movie, because I would have done the same thing Batman did to try to kill Superman.  Batman was smart.  Bruce Wayne was also smart character in this movie, and he has a whole James Bond thing going on.

This movie also set up the DC Universe.  Hopefully now we can finally get a decent Aquaman movie, that we all been waiting for.  This movie stayed true to comic book fans.  For the record, this movie was better than Avengers 2, my question is was it better than Avengers 1?  To be fair I’ve seen the first Avengers 100 times so I have to watch Batman v Superman at least another 3 times until I can make that decision.

I’m reading a lot of reviews that bashed this movie.  This let’s me know that the reviewers really didn’t see this movie.  As a blogger there’s pressure to get the story first.  Sometimes people read reviews off there favorite blogger and summarize their review it’s called copy writing.  The faster you have the story the more hits or views you get.  My other theory is that Marvel hired bloggers to bash this film (on rotten tomatoes) so that opening week end numbers would be lower.  After seeing this movie do you agree that it’s a 4 out of 10 like the community said on Rotten Tomato?
